I’ve been cooking up a storm lately!

I love how all my social plans tend to congregate within the weeks right before a holiday - so I’m going out, eating at yummy restaurants, and barely grocery shopping. And then suddenly it’s a long weekend and I can take the time to reset, take extra time to cook for myself, maybe with freshly grown veggies from my parents’ garden.
I am in a little bit of a no-spend era, but I did find these vintage 2003 Chanel sandals at VSP completely irresistible:
I still have PTSD from the whole Row jelly shoe fiasco from not so long ago (spoiler alert: they broke), so I’ve been treading carefully in these. They came in perfect condition, which indicates either a) they were barely worn, or b) the original wearer never walked, or c) both.
Speaking of vintage, I’m devastated that I’m always missing the Merci C’est Vintage pop-ups in NYC. Her pieces are really so special, and I keep seeing friends with their incredible finds. One day!
Naturally, I’ve spiralled down a rabbit hole of vintage sellers/resellers/consignment accounts that I think are worth highlighting and putting on your radar. You may have heard of some (or all of them) - maybe I’m totally late to the game here! Quite a few of these have been on my list for a while, others were only recently brought to my attention.
Before we begin, a note that this, just like my jewellery designer roundup, is not an exhaustive list. Rather, it is just what’s making my pulse quicken within the past month. There is an exhaustive spreadsheet in the works, and I’m taking submissions (please add them in the comments or message me).
Anyway.
CHEREE CHEREE

Quite possibly some of the best vintage Prada and Miu Miu pieces I ever did see available for sale. If you’re in love with 90’s Prada (mirror era!), this is going to be a haven for you. This is also the same store that brought Muxart shoes to my attention.
NHO GIRL

WE ALL KNOW HER AND LOVE HER. I met Amy in Paris a few years ago with my friend Milla, and she was so kind and warm and so well dressed. They have occasional online drops (if you can get access), but honestly this is worth a trip to Amsterdam. The styling is just so so good!
ACQUIRED

Next time I’m in L.A. I’m 1000% booking a styling appointment with Acquired Vintage. 2000’s Dries, vintage JPG - this is a little less Prada focused than the above but each piece is deeply special. I’m excited to watch her take off!
HEART & LOU’S

I love this little store that just reopened in LES. I met Heartleigh, the founder, at my friend Cortne’s wedding - she was one of the chicest guests. Heart & Lou’s is basically a reflection of her personal style, which is perfect for people like me who think that everything she wears is the coolest. If you’re looking for more, check out her new denim brand Thalo, which she started with her friend Sophia (the other chicest guest at Cortne’s wedding).
BOKETTO

I bought a Prada Sport waterproof jacket from here and it is perfect. While I have yet to make an actual appointment at their studio, they have an incredible selection of Y2K and 90’s archive pieces that are a healthy mix of mid to high end designers.
SMOKING VINTAGE

Another one for the 90’s Prada girls. Great archive pieces and a very cute Junction store that is a must visit!
ENTREMAINS

Camille is a gem with excellent taste - I love visiting this store in Le Marais when I’m in Paris. It’s more curated and less overwhelming than the Bobby boutiques, and the store itself is beautiful. The prices feel especially refreshing after visiting Preclothed (which I also love very much).
NOAH NOAH NOAH

This Instagram-based shop was founded by Noah Leh, a former Coveteur editor who travels the world to find rare and beautiful jewellery pieces. I purchased my 70’s Datejust from her, and she is so insightful and knowledgable about each and every one of her pieces. She feels like a personal concierge for rare jewellery, and that makes buying from her all the more special.
LUCIA ZOLEA

Visiting this instagram page alone feels like discovering buried treasure. Everything is divine, and I romanticizing traipsing around European markets, discovering old gems with rich backstories.
GALLERY 213

I’m mad mostly because I didn’t get to this 2002 Chloe bracelet bag designed by Phoebe Philo in time. You can find them IRL in Toronto at the St. Lawrence market on Sundays if you’re lucky!
HONOURARY MENTIONS
Unisecon: Not quite a vintage store, as they have so many unique contemporary pieces of their own. But the Issey Miyake archive here is worth sifting through. It’s only in store unfortunately, but worth a visit next time you’re in the LES.
River Crossing: Another store, this one in Toronto, that stocks myriad vintage pieces sourced from trips to Europe interspersed along their contemporary collection.
Absolutely Fabrics: Another Toronto-based store for rare, more statement vintage pieces. I sourced a vintage Donna Karan dress from here that feels like I’m dripping in silk whenever I wear it.
Sooo many goodies here!
