Some good secondhand finds here

There’s no doubt that Laura Reilly’s Magasin is the exemplar of shopping newsletters. Her ability to scour and consolidate just about the entire fashion industry into a single newsletter each week is mind-bending - I can attribute most of my splurges to her and admire her greatly.

I thought of doing a secondhand shopping feature for this newsletter because, while I love the occasional indulgence from a new collection, there is no gratification to me quite like the thrill of finding a unique vintage or secondhand piece. Yet, unless you have hours to peruse vintage stores and scan the internet with a keen (and oft forgiving) eye, the vast worlds of Vestiaire and the Real Real towering like an untamed beast, secondhand shopping can feel overwhelming. And while I wish my closet and wallet afforded the privilege of owning every piece I fell in love with, I thought it more useful to share what I find on here. Let’s face it - I can hardly resist the temptation to deep dive onto my regular vintage sites, so we might as well put that to good use by converting it into a monthly newsletter feature.

Another note - many (if not all) of the pieces in this feature are designer pieces, as reflected in the price point. For thriftier finds, unless otherwise disclosed, there are far better sources than I. And for further disclosure - the resale market is volatile. I compiled these items to be sent out immediately (hence the minimal text/editing), but there’s no guarantee that all items will be available by the time this email reaches your inbox. And LASTLY, yes, I am aware that the ratio of dresses to clothing is disproportionate. I promise to create a more comprehensive edit for the next month.
